Job summary

Atria Senior Living - Grass Valley is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to keep resident apartments and community spaces clean and safe. You will handle laundry, stock supplies, and maintain sanitary conditions across public areas and rooms, with attention to detail and resident comfort.

Ideal candidates will complete required training, work varied shifts, and communicate effectively in English. This role supports a welcoming living environment for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as irons, washers, dryers, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeper maintains a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing duties in apartments, common areas and amenities.
• Clean public areas and resident spaces, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform laundry duties: washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and textiles.
• Maintain laundry areas, dust and sanitize equipment, stock supplies, and report maintenance needs.
• Report unsafe conditions or health changes to Supervisor and assist with additional duties as needed.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.

• Clean public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including:
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing beds
  • Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Dusting furniture and equipment
  • Polishing metalwork
  • Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Performs all laundry duties, including:
  • Washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances
  • Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s).
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
• Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $16.90/hr - $20.28/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
