Job summary

Suncoast East in Sarasota, FL is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe living spaces for residents. You will follow a cleaning schedule and perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of all common areas, with deep cleaning of resident rooms as needed.

Follows established cleaning schedule.2. Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.3. Follows established schedule for \"deep cleaning\" of resident rooms.4. Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.5. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.6. Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.7. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.8. Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.9. Responds promptly and courteously to residents, families, and visitors requests for assistance.10. Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.11. Communicates effectively in a language that each resident can understand.12. Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.13. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.14. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.15. Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.16. Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.17. Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.18. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.19.
