Job summary

Mission Park Healthcare Center seeks a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. You will perform housekeeping and laundry tasks, order supplies, and operate cleaning equipment.

The role requires English fluency, knowledge of housekeeping procedures, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the team. You will adhere to policy, complete time cards, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

  • The ability to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure the safety and wellbeing of patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, supplies, equipment and materials.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary.
  • Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the provision of a clean and safe environment for customers, visitors and staff.
  • Orders supplies necessary to effectively and efficiently perform housekeeping and laundry functions.
  • Inspects the facility on a regular basis to determine the effectiveness of the housekeeping function.
  • Ensures that the building is maintained in an odor free and clean condition.
  • Takes immediate action on any observed deficiencies.
  • Maintains all necessary records.
  • Completes time cards and prepares departmental payroll according to the payroll cycles of the facility.
  • Cleans and supplies designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc).
  • Ensures that all equipment is maintained in proper working condition.
  • Ensures compliance with all facility policies and government regulations.
  • Assists in performing housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper performs work in the housekeeping department staff which includes supplies ordering, cleaning procedures, and equipment operation.

JOB SKILLS:
