Job summary

Northeast Valley Health Corporation is seeking a full-time Housekeeper at the San Fernando Health Center to keep facilities clean and safe and perform light repairs as needed.

Qualified applicants have a High School diploma or GED, are fluent in English, hold a California driver's license, and are willing to undergo fingerprinting if required. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are preferred.

Salary Range: $22.77 To $22.77 Hourly

Definition

The Housekeeper performs many functions related to cleaning and repairing NEVHC facilities.

Reports to: Site Administrator or Designee

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of NEVHC facilities, including minor repairs to structure, plumbing and electrical systems, painting over graffiti, installation of shelving, and replacement of light bulbs.

Qualifications

• 1. High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate equivalency and previous experience is preferred.
• 2. Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
• 3. Fluency in English (speaks, read and write) is required.
• 4. Fluency in Spanish (speaks, translate, read and write) is preferred.
• 5. Must be willing to submit fingerprints in a manner authorized by the California Department of Justice, with no adverse findings, applicable to school-based site only.

Physical Requirements of the Job

• 1. Will spend substantial time sitting, speaking and listening, standing and limited walking.
• 2. May stoop and reach to file documents
• 3. May lift up to 25 lbs periodically.
• 4. May occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
