Family Health Centers of San Diego seeks a Facilities Maintenance worker to perform diverse repairs across multiple health center sites. The role requires the use of hand tools, a valid California driver’s license, and reliable transportation for traveling between locations.
Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance, along with upkeep of tools and equipment. A strong work ethic and ability to follow English instructions are essential.
Must have a reliable truck or utility van and hand tools. Traveling between sites and other locations is required as an essential function of the job. Must have a car, a valid California driver’s license, and proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law, although limits of $100,000 are recommended. An acceptable driving record is also required. California law requires all drivers to obtain a valid California driver’s license within ten days of establishing residency. Mileage and other reimbursement governed by policy.
Experience in building repairs and maintenance. Ability to follow both written and oral instructions in English. Basic computer literacy (use system to manage and schedule appointments, access electronic medical record information). Intermediate interpersonal and customer service skills.
