Job summary

Villa Marie Claire is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to perform housekeeping, floor care, and waste management across the Villa Marie Claire facility, delivering compassionate, patient-centered service.

You will interact with coworkers, patients, and visitors in a professional, courteous manner, follow schedules, and use germicidal solutions and cleaning equipment according to procedures. A High School Diploma and 1–3 years healthcare or hotel hospitality experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of environmental experience in healthcare or hotel/hospitality preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication and the ability to follow written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with coworkers, patients, and visitors professionally and courteous.
• Complete tasks per schedule or as assigned.
• Prepare housekeeping solutions per manufacturer recommendations.
• Clean areas with germicidal solutions and sanitize surfaces.
• Prepare discharged beds and record completion times.
• Report discharge activity via the computer.
• Dust, damp mop, vacuum, and arrange furniture after cleaning.
• Replenish supplies before dispensers run out.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and scrubbers.
• Support facility associates with grounds and maintenance.
• Perform additional responsibilities to support team functions.

A Brief Overview

Performs a variety of Environmental Services and Hotel Hospitality duties, including but not limited to housekeeping, floor care, and waste management for the entire Villa Marie Claire facility, according to established procedures.

What Will You Do

• Interact with coworkers, patients, and visitors with compassion, courtesy, and a professional customer-focused manner.
• Complete tasks as per the position schedule or as assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Prepare housekeeping solutions according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Clean assigned area by sanitizing furniture, surfaces, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solution.
• Prepare discharged beds for the next patient promptly and effectively, recording the completion time properly.
• Demonstrate the ability to report discharge activity appropriately via the computer.
• Dust and damp mop floors, vacuum carpets, and arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion after cleaning the area.
• Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, and soaps before the dispensers become empty.
• Safely operate various types of electrical cleaning equipment such as vacuums, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, buffing machines, and carpet extractors.
• Perform cleaning using proper cleaning solutions and techniques as prescribed by departmental procedures for both patient and family rooms.
• Supports the Facility Associates as needed with grounds and maintenance.
• Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support various team functions.

Education Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience Qualifications

• 1-3 years 1+ years of environmental experience in healthcare or hotel hospitality, preferred.
