Job summary

The Orchard Ltd is seeking a dedicated housekeeper for multiple locations on campus to maintain cleanliness and sanitation for residents and common areas. You will follow safety guidelines, dust, vacuum, mop, and respond to urgent housekeeping needs with compassion for the elderly.

Qualifications include prior housekeeping experience in a commercial setting, strong English reading/writing skills, and excellent communication with residents, families and staff.

• Work across campus locations as needed.
• Follow cleaning agent directions and operate equipment safely.
• Dust, Vacuum, and Mop daily.
• Clean spills promptly and completely.
• Respond to unscheduled housekeeping needs.
• Empty trash from resident apartments, offices, and common areas.
• Scrub areas requiring heavy-duty attention when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation continually.
• Interact with residents and staff respectfully.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to daily tasks as well as unpredictable situations that require housekeeping
• Work in multiple locations across campus as needed
• Follow manufacturer directions for all cleaning agents and equipment
• Dust, Vacuum, and Mop on a daily basis
• Clean spills promptly and completely
• Respond promptly to unscheduled housekeeping needs
• Empty trash from resident apartments, office areas, and common areas
• Scrub areas that require heavy-duty attention when necessary
• Redo areas as necessary throughout the day to maintain continual cleanliness & sanitation
• Frequently check high traffic areas to insure cleanliness & sanitation
• Respond appropriately to residents requiring heavier & more frequent housekeeping
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all common areas of the facility
• Interact with residents and other staff members in a respectful manner
