With a compassionate approach to senior care, you will interact effectively with residents, families, and staff while adhering to health and safety standards. This full-time role may require weekend availability and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• English reading, writing, speaking required.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Compassion for seniors and genuine caring.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Able to relate positively with residents, families, staff and volunteers.
• Meet mandatory health requirements by state regulations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain current food handler’s card.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintains clean, safe, and attractive work areas for residents and staff.
• Follows safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Adheres to infection control practices in all housekeeping tasks.
• Operates and maintains housekeeping/laundry equipment (e.g., washers, dryers).
• Attends meetings and trainings and stays current on assigned duties.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeper helps create a joyful and vibrant community by maintaining a beautiful environment, keeping the community tidy, clean, sanitary, and pleasing to the senses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Supports dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents.
• Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Must have high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Follows established Infection Control practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
• Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping/laundry equipment (i.e., commercial washer/dryer, buffing machines, etc.).
• Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
• Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays current on system assigned tasks and duties.
• Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the requirements of the position.
