POSITION PURPOSE
Clean guest rooms in accordance with established company, brand or hotel standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean rooms as well as expeditious cleaning of occupied guest rooms and hallways.

Clean guest rooms in accordance with established company, brand or hotel standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean rooms as well as expeditious cleaning of occupied guest rooms and hallways.
Essential Functions
Strip and remake beds according to the standards set forth by the hotel
Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, clean windows, dust furniture and fixtures
Clean shower, tubs, sinks and bathroom items
Remove trash and replenish guest amenities and supplies
Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
Perform deep cleans as assigned
Regularly check rooms for repairs and refurbishing and notify Executive Housekeeper of areas that need attention
Report lost and found items to the Executive Housekeeper
Maintain storage room and stock cart
Record room status on work assignment sheets
Ensure special guest requests and VIP rooms receive the designated extras
Attend required hotel meetings
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be able to communicate and understand language(s) used in the workplace.
Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Requires good communication skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to work in a busy environment.
Must have the ability to bend, squat and lift 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
Education
High school or equivalent education preferred.
Experience
Housekeeping/Hotel experience preferred.
