Job summary

Monarch Communities is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in residents' apartments and common areas under the Maintenance Director. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with both full-time and part-time day shift options.

The role requires cleaning experience, reliability, and good communication with residents. Benefits include health insurance, retirement options, PTO, and more. Training provided and safety is emphasized.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clean resident apartments by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, bathrooms, trash and linens.
  • Keep common areas clean and sanitized as assigned.
  • Handle and store cleaning chemicals per OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain clean and organized housekeeping storage areas.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director.
  • Report safety issues immediately (broken glass, leaks, locks, toilets).

The Housekeeper will report to the Maintenance Director. The Housekeeper is a non-exempt, hourly position.

Salary

$15.00 - $17.00 Hourly

Job Overview

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of resident’s apartments and common areas as assigned by the Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide housekeeping services in resident apartments by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, and laundering linens.
  • Ensure common areas are kept clean and sanitized as assigned
  • Handle and store all cleaning chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Maintain housekeeping storage areas are clean and organized
  • Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director
  • Ensure safety issues are reported immediately (broken glass, water leaks, broken locks, broken toilets, etc.)

  • Ability to communicate with residents
Physical Abilities
  • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
  • An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
