Job summary

Laurus is seeking a Housekeeper in Prospect, KY to maintain clean resident apartments and public areas on a 8am-4pm schedule. You will perform laundry duties in our commercial facilities and support a schedule-driven, quality-conscious environment.

The role emphasizes independent decision-making, tactful interaction with residents and staff, and adherence to cleaning procedures and safety practices. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred and benefits are offered in an excellent work

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas as assigned according to the departmental standards process and procedures
• Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed according to established standards observing proper cleaning technique
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with associates residents family members visitors government agencies personnel and the general public
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds liquids disinfecting solutions etc
• Must be able to relate information concerning a residents conditionUses supplies in an economical and prudent manner; Reports supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishingAbility to operate the following machines buffers extraction equipment vacuums and all commercial laundry equipment
• Additional duties as assigned or needed by Housekeeping Lead

Required Experience for Housekeeping

This position entails standing for long periods of time The employee must be able to read write and speak fluent English While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to communicate effectively with others sit stand walk and use hands to handle keyboard telephone paper files and other equipment and objects The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens The employee will occasionally lift andor move up to 25 pounds The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others The noise level in the work environment is moderate Occasional travel to different locations may be required
