Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain clean and inviting grounds, offices, and common areas across our properties in Portland. You will vacuum, mop, stock restrooms, collect trash, and assist with unit prep after move-outs to ensure a smooth resident experience.

We value prior housekeeping or custodial experience and strong customer-service skills. A collaborative, proactive approach helps our teams deliver excellent living environments and stand behind Thrive's

  • Housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service or customer-facing role.
  • Strong team player with willingness to learn and take initiative

Responsibilities

  • Ensures grounds, office, and common areas maintain a professional, tidy appearance.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Clean and stock restrooms
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Notify managers and maintenance team of necessary repairs, hazards, or low inventory items.
  • Cleans, spiffs, and helps to prepare units after move-out and before move-in
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and commits to Thrive's values
  • Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager, and assists maintenance team, as needed

Pay Range

$22 - 24 per hour

Schedule

Full-time; Sunday - Thursday, 8 am - 5 pm

Job Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • 100% in-person position. Must be available to be physically present at sites being supported.
  • Stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day.
  • Estimated 66% - 100% of time is spent on feet.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and/or speaking on a phone and radio.
  • Ability to physically walk the property and units, which may include climbing stairs and navigating uneven surfaces or construction zones.
  • Ability to be physically present onsite at the property during normal business hours to greet guests, handle property operations, provide tours, etc.
  • Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs. on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs. - 75lbs.
  • Works both indoors (majority of the time) and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to commute to locations where there is need.
