Job summary

The Docents Collection in Portland, operated by Commonwealth Hotels, is seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Hotel Room Attendant, Guest Room Attendant, or Housekeeper. Availability on Sundays and Mondays is required to support our busy hotel operations and guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms (beds, linens, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms).
• Restock guest room amenities and supplies as needed.
• Inspect rooms and report maintenance issues.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining public areas.
• Follow safety standards and cleaning procedures.
• Provide courteous, professional guest service and address requests promptly.
• Handle laundry tasks including washing and delivering linens.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities; restock as required.
• Prepare rooms for new guests meeting hotel cleanliness and comfort standards.

Responsibilities for the Part-Time Hotel Room Attendant, Hotel Guest Room Attendant, or Hotel Housekeeper include:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Restock supplies: Replenish guest room amenities, such as toiletries, towels, coffee, and other items, as needed.
• Inspecting Rooms: Ensure all room equipment and furniture are in good working condition and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintaining Public Areas: Occasionally assist in cleaning and maintaining public areas such as hallways, lounges, and restrooms.
• Adhering to Safety Standards: Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
• Guest Interaction: Provide courteous and professional service, addressing guest requests or concerns promptly and efficiently.
• Laundry Duties: Handle laundry services, including collecting, washing, folding, and delivering linens and towels.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities, ensuring timely restocking.
• Room Setup: Prepare rooms for new guests, ensuring they meet the hotel's standards of cleanliness and comfort.
