Job summary

Touchmark West Hills in Portland is seeking a Housekeeper to keep resident homes and our community's common areas exceptionally clean, healthy, and inviting for residents and guests. This is more than cleaning—it's about creating a home with five-star hospitality in a full-service retirement community.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be able to read, write and speak English, and be willing to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a housekeeper in a resort or retirement community preferred but not required.
• Weekend and holiday availability.
• English reading, writing and speaking ability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident homes and the community's common areas are clean, healthy and pleasant.
• Maintain spaces to provide a welcoming environment for residents and guests.
• Build positive working relationships with residents, families and staff.

As a Housekeeper, you will enrich lives every day by ensuring that each of the resident’s homes, as well as our community’s common areas, are exceptionally clean, healthy, and pleasant spaces for residents and guests to enjoy. This is not your standard housekeeping position – at Touchmark, you have the daily opportunity to build long-term relationships with the wonderful people who call this community “home!”

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends and givers
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Have experience working as a housekeeper in a resort or retirement community, though this is not required
• Be willing to work occasional weekends and holidays
• Be able to read, write, and speak English
• Be able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, staff members and visitors

Wage: $20.29 to $21.23 per hour based on experience.
