Job summary

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Portland, OR is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to join our team. You will maintain resident apartments, common areas, and spaces to create a clean, welcoming environment for our residents and their families.

You will work with a compassionate team, perform routine housekeeping tasks, and ensure safety while using cleaning products and equipment. Prior housekeeping experience, especially in senior living or healthcare, is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform routine housekeeping tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Keep lobby, restrooms, floors, handrails, windows, mirrors, and other public areas clean and welcoming.
• Sweep, mop, dust, and remove dirt and debris throughout the community.
• Empty trash and replace liners.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment according to manufacturer instructions.

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is looking for a dependable and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team!

As a Housekeeper, you will play an important role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. You will help maintain resident apartments, common areas, and other spaces throughout our community while working alongside a team dedicated to providing excellent care and service.
What You'll Do

• Clean and maintain resident apartments, bathrooms, and common areas
• Keep our lobby, restrooms, floors, handrails, windows, mirrors, and other public areas clean and welcoming
• Sweep, mop, dust, and remove dirt and debris throughout the community
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean and maintain high-touch and frequently used surfaces
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment according to manufacturer instructions
• Use appropriate safety practices, including caution/wet floor signage
• Maintain awareness of resident safety while working throughout the community
• Report resident safety concerns or maintenance issues to the appropriate department
• Monitor housekeeping supplies and communicate when items need to be replenished
• Work independently while also supporting your fellow team members
• Provide friendly and respectful service to our residents, families, and visitors
