Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $21.00/hr

The Housekeeper will ensure a pleasant and welcoming experience for all Swan Hotel guests by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within rooms and common areas as well as providing excellent guest service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean rooms and common areas, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene standards are met
• Process laundry
• Welcome guests and respond to special requests with professionalism and patience
• Participate in large cleaning projects as needed
• Notify supervisors regarding any damages, deficits, safety hazards, or incidents
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  

GENERAL OPERATIONS

While the primary focus of this position is cleaning and guest services, the Housekeeper works as part of the entire NWM team, ensuring smooth operations. As a growing non-profit, we all pitch in for the heavy lifting, whether it's participating in all-hands projects and events, assisting visitors, or doing some literal heavy lifting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience as a housekeeper or in a related position
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and integrity
• Responsible, proactive, and have the ability to represent the Swan Hotel and NWM in a friendly and enthusiastic manner
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be at least 18 years old
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable climbing and descending stairs while carrying items
• Frequently operating laundry equipment
• Able to work standing up for an extended period of time
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Personal fragrant products must be limited

WORK LOCATION & SCHEDULE

• Position will require on-site work
• The Swan Hotel is located at 222 Monroe St., Port Townsend, WA 98368; Main NWM Offices are located at 431 Water St., Port Townsend, WA 98368
• Position is seasonal from June 2025 to October 2025, 25-40 hours/week based on the needs of the hotel
• Reports to: Hotel Operations Supervisor
  
  
  

Wage Range & Benefits

• $20-$21 per hour, non-exempt
• Paid time off: 1 hour of sick time accrued per every 25 hours worked and paid holidays
