Job summary

Somerset Court of Goldsboro is seeking a dedicated housekeeping associate to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. You will perform cleaning tasks across common areas and resident rooms, assist with laundry, and ensure proper waste disposal with strict safety protocols.

The role requires compassion for the elderly and a ability to work well both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere and high quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
