You will be responsible for various cleaning tasks, ensuring that both resident and staff areas are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities

• Dust, wash and polish furniture.
• Clean resident rooms and public areas.
• Maintain sanitary atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Complete routine assignments within designated time frames.
• Maintain the areas assigned and other areas as needed (such as cleaning up spills, picking up paper, wiping marks/finger prints/other items).
• Follow schedules, policies and procedures as required.
• Vacuum carpets and spot clean as required.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary atmosphere for all the residents who live in Providence Point (resident rooms, public areas, bathrooms, bathing areas, lounges, dining areas, medical areas).
• Maintain a clean and sanitary atmosphere for all the staff who work in Providence Point (offices, lounges, public areas, etc.).
• Complete routine day-to-day assignments so not to inconvenience the resident, staff and others.
• Complete services at the time required and in the time frames allotted.
• Cross train to become a laundry worker if the need arises to fill the position.

What You'll Do

• Dust, wash and polish furniture (beds, dressers, nightstands, chairs, tables, etc.).
• Dry and wet mop floors.
• Wash and spot clean walls as required (painted, ceramic and wall covered walls).
• Wash windows and mirrors.
• Maintain the areas assigned and other areas as needed (such as cleaning up spills, picking up paper, wiping marks/finger prints/other items).
• Follow schedules, policies and procedures as required.
• Vacuum carpets and spot clean as required.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary atmosphere for all the residents who live in Providence Point (resident rooms, public areas, bathrooms, bathing areas, lounges, dining areas, medical areas).
• Maintain a clean and sanitary atmosphere for all the staff who work in Providence Point (offices, lounges, public areas, etc.).

Work Schedule

Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Requirements

Qualifications You Bring

• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, service manuals, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, work orders, and maintain records.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to residents or management. Must have listening skills to interpret concerns and follow directions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
