Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to perform daily cleaning duties inside and outside the facility under supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisor. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork with staff.

Responsibilities include floor care, waste disposal, restroom cleaning, and coordination with other departments to meet residents' needs. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs; drug screening and background check required. Excellent benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write at a level necessary to understand Company Policies and Regulations.
• Preferred housekeeping experience in a long-term care Facility.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.

• Sweeps, dust mops, damp/wet mops floors in hallways, offices and common areas daily.
• Cleans soiled areas, empties trash cans, replaces can liners, cleans bathrooms, sinks, toilets and other areas.
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean, safe organized and keeps equipment and supplies properly stored.
• Communicates courteously with staff in other Departments to adequately meet the needs of the Residents.
