Job summary

Sagora Senior Living is seeking a compassionate Housekeeper for Asher Point of Hoover, located at 3517 Lorna Rd, Hoover, AL. The role supports independent living, assisted living, or memory care communities by maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across residences and common areas.

You will work in a team-focused environment that values residents first. The position is part-time or PRN, with benefits available to eligible team members, and opportunities for growth within Sagora.

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in a hospitality environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English.
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals and tolerate fumes, dust, and pet dander.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize residences and contents, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning kitchen and bath fixtures, turning mattresses, moving light furniture, and emptying trash.
• Perform cleaning duties for resident apartments, offices, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Assist with cleaning and refurbishing vacated residences as they become vacant.
• Wash, dry, fold, and store linens and other laundry for the community and residents.
• Coordinate delivery and return of resident laundry.
• Keep housekeeping carts and supplies organized and stocked in OSHA‑approved containers.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• Ability to work safely with cleaning chemicals, as well as being exposed to chemical fumes, dust, and pet dander
• Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Occasionally required to lift and/or move 30 pounds and push or pull up to 100 pounds
