Qualifications

• Valid PA Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to bend, lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.
• Commitment to safety, cleanliness, infection prevention and PPE use.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and equip work area with necessary supplies.
• Perform timely housekeeping for independent living spaces.
• Manage scheduling of cleanings to maintain efficiency.
• Follow infection control procedures and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain organized carts, closets, and equipment.
• Follow chemical procedures and use appropriate cleaners.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and report repairs.
• Assist with moving furniture and deep cleaning tasks as needed.
• Drive campus vehicles for assigned cleanings when required.
• Support team with additional duties to ensure quality.

Beyond cleaning, you’re a guardian of safety, ensuring all assigned areas are orderly and free from hazards. If you take pride in making environments shine and fostering comfort, this role lets you make a meaningful difference every day.Your responsibilities will include:Prepare & Equip: Obtain all necessary equipment and supplies before proceeding to your assigned work area to ensure a seamless start.Timely Service Delivery: Provide requested housekeeping services to elders within the scheduled appointment timeframe, ensuring satisfaction and reliability.Schedule Management: Effectively manage and track the schedule for all assigned Independent Living cleanings to maintain organization and efficiency.Equipment Operator: Use the appropriate housekeeping equipment for each task and promptly notify your supervisor of any equipment needing repair.Infection Control Advocate: Practice standard infection control procedures and consistently wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary to promote a safe environment.Safety Compliance: Follow all established safety rules and procedures and immediately report any safety concerns or hazards to your supervisor.Supply Stewardship: Return unused supplies to the proper storage area at the end of each shift, maintaining order and readiness.Organized Workspaces: Keep carts, closets, and equipment clean, neat, and orderly at all times; ensure housekeeping carts are locked when unattended.Chemical & Procedure Adherence: Follow established procedures and use the correct chemicals and equipment tailored for each cleaning task.Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in proper working order by performing basic preventive care to avoid interruptions.Tech Utilization: Use WorxHub software for billing, scheduling, and quality reporting to stay connected and efficient.Thorough Cleaning: Clean elder rooms, baths, offices, halls, and other designated areas with attention to detail.Team Support: Assist with moving furniture as needed to facilitate thorough cleaning.Bedding Care: Wash beds and mattresses and remake beds on scheduled days or as requested to ensure resident comfort.Waste Management: Collect trash and recycling from all facility areas and transport to designated disposal locations.Detail Cleaning: Dust high vents, cabinets, and other furnishings to maintain a pristine environment.Deep Cleaning Specialist: Use extractors for carpet and chair cleaning when necessary for deeper cleaning.Basic Floor Care: Perform routine floor care, including vacuuming, dust mopping, and damp mopping floors in rooms, corridors, entrances, stairwells, and other assigned areas.On-Campus Driver: Safely drive fleet vehicles around campus to complete assigned cleanings efficiently.Team-Oriented Flexibility: Take on additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the department.What You Bring to the TableValid PA Driver’s LicenseAble to successfully perform all key responsibilities of the role with reliability and care.Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well doneAbility to work independently while staying connected to the teamCommitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection preventionComfort with physically active work, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and reachingReliability and a proactive approach to getting the job done
