Job summary

Haven Hospice in Palatka, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, homelike environment across patient rooms, lounges, dining areas, and staff spaces. The role follows the hospice cleanliness policy and demands attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, disinfecting equipment per OSHA guidelines, and promptly reporting changes or hazards to the charge nurse or supervisor. Florida background screening applies for this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Actively maintains a clean, safe, orderly, and homelike atmosphere.
• Responds promptly and cheerfully to requests for emergency clean up service.
• Cleans and disinfects patient care equipment, such as bed, over-bed table, bedside commode at change of room occupancy change, according to OSHA requirements.
• Promptly reports changes in patient, patient/family requests and hazardous conditions to charge nurse.
• Promptly reports any hazardous condition to charge nurse or Clinical Supervisor as appropriate.

The Housekeeper cleans and keeps in orderly and homelike condition all areas of the Hospice Care Center, including patient rooms and bathrooms, hallways, living rooms, dining room, staff lounge and bathrooms.
