Job summary

Camber Corporation is seeking a Housekeeper to perform comprehensive cleaning of apartments, common areas, and offices within the community. Duties include preparing furnished and unfurnished units for new residents, cleaning hallways, offices, pool areas, clubhouses, restrooms, fitness center, and laundry spaces.

The role requires initiative, professionalism, and strict confidentiality in daily duties. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and demonstrate strong time

Responsibilities

  • Clean furnished apartments for next resident, including bathrooms, kitchens, appliances, floors, and surfaces.
  • Clean unfurnished apartments for new residents, including bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Vacuum hallways and common areas daily.
  • Clean rental office and club rooms; wipe surfaces and empty trash.
  • Maintain cleanliness of community common areas: pool, clubhouse, restrooms, gym, business center, and laundry rooms.
  • Perform any special project as directed by supervisor.

Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for aspects of apartment turnover cleaning, apartment community grounds and common area cleaning, custodial duties, and any projects assigned by supervisor.

The Housekeeper is expected to conduct himself/herself in a manner which demonstrates initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercises confidentiality in the appropriate areas of his/her performance.

Duties include:
  • Cleaning furnished apartments to be ready for the next resident. To include but not limited to scrubbing bathroom toilet, sink, shower, bathtub, vinyl bath floor, countertops, cabinets, kitchen sink, counter tops, cabinets, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher -- load and unload dishes, clean vinyl kitchen floor, empty trash, vacuum carpeting and furniture, dust furniture, wash linens and towels, make beds, replace light bulbs, dust ceiling fan blades, clean windows and sills, clean blinds, mirrors, wipe down closet shelves, turn on TV and all lights to ensure everything is working properly, and anything requested by supervisor.
  • Clean unfurnished apartments to make ready for new residents. Completely clean bathroom and kitchen, including appliances, countertops, cabinets, floor, bathtub, toilet, sinks, mirrors. Vacuum carpeting and vinyl. Dust shelves in closets. Clean windows and blinds.
  • Vacuum interior building hallways daily.
  • Clean rental office daily. Dust furniture, vacuum carpet in all offices, vacuum upholstered furniture, wipe down kitchen area, sweep copier/storage area, empty trash, clean all glass on doors and windows.
  • Clean community common area: pool and areas, wipe down tables and chairs, straighten lounge chairs and ensure seated chairs are set around tables, sweep pool deck area.
  • Clean community common area: clubhouse, wipe down all table tops, dust all furniture, vacuum clubhouse daily, vacuum upholstered furniture daily, dust TV and electronics, empty trash cans daily. Clean kitchen in small clubhouse - check refrigerator and discard any food items, clean oven as needed, wash dishes and load and unload dishwasher as necessary, clean windows.
  • Clean community common area: restrooms. Mop bathrooms every morning, scrub toilets daily, fill toilet paper, soap dispenser, paper towel dispenser, toilet seat cover dispenser. Bathrooms are to be check twice daily (morning and afternoon.)
  • Clean community area: Fitness center. Vacuum fitness center daily, wipe down all fitness equipment with Windex (or similar brand) spray cleaner.
  • Clean community area: Business center. Vacuum business center carpet and upholstered furniture daily. Wipe down computer screens and keyboards with soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Check printer for paper and load when required.
  • Clean community area: Laundry rooms. Sweep under and behind equipment; wipe down washers and dryers, empty lint traps, empty trash, mop the vinyl flooring regularly as needed, clean windows and sills, clean glass doors.
  • Any special project as directed by supervisor.
Knowledge and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Must exhibit a cooperative attitude with supervisor and co-workers.
  • Must exhibit a customer service attitude toward all community residents.
  • Time management and organization skills
  • Work Environment: The Housekeeper works on-site at the apartment community and interfaces with external/internal customers, residents, and vendors on a regular basis. The position work schedule varies depending on the needs of the property. Hours are usually scheduled from 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. This position is required to work weekend days (Sat/Sun). However, the Housekeeper should be flexible with availability depending on the needs of the property.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, carry, pull, and push. May be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
