Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an onsite Housekeeper at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain, MA. The role covers evening hours (5pm-1:30am), Monday through Friday with weekend/holiday rotation, for 40 hours weekly.

• Hangs curtains and maintains patient environment; disinfects and sanitizes IV poles and pumps.
• Supports office moves and conference room setups as required.
• Responds to spills and follows department guidelines for cleaning and safety.

Completes work from previous shift if needed, reports all incomplete assignments and maintenance issues. Cleans up all organic body waste, such as blood and body fluids, feces, sputum, etc., as instructed by the supervisor or team leader. Hangs cubical curtains, shower curtains, and window curtains Up on discharge cleaning, disinfect and sanitize I.V. poles, pumps, and other patient equipment. Performs all Environmental Services-related tasks and demonstrates the ability to follow department guidelines related to the work. Performs basic and heavier cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Cleans patient equipment as requested by the supervisor including beds and all room furnishings. Assists in manpower support for office and/or related moves, special conference room set-ups, and any other occasions as required. Ability to clean emergency spills when observed and/or upon request.
