Job summary

Valley Vista for Nursing & Rehab in Newton, IA is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join our skilled nursing facility. Shift: 3 days per week, mornings.

You will perform light cleaning, floor care (stripping, waxing, buffing), linen handling, and organize residents' personal spaces, while following infection control and safety protocols. Experience with cleaning materials preferred; a comprehensive benefits package is available.

Perform a variety of light cleaning and organizational tasks to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Part-Time | 3 days/week, morning shift

Responsibilities:

• Follow established Floor Technician service procedures to maintain facility cleanliness and safety.

• Perform a variety of floor care tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing hard-surface floors, and maintaining carpeted areas.

• Collect soiled linen from the facility and residents, and operate washing machines to launder items according to hygiene standards.

• Fold, hang, and organize residents' personal linen and clothing; transport and distribute items to residents’ rooms.

• Ensure clothing is properly stored in closets and drawers, maintaining residents’ personal spaces in an orderly manner.

• Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols while handling linens and performing cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor technician, cleaning, light maintenance, or other related fields

• Familiarity with cleaning materials and equipment
