Job summary

Project FIND seeks a Housekeeper to perform general cleanliness and sanitation of tenant rooms at our housing residences. Responsibilities include cleaning linen, washing and mopping rooms, and reporting maintenance issues.

The role supports housing residents and requires knowledge of cleaning procedures and materials, and the ability to lift 20-30 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is required. Schedule: Mon-Thu 8:00AM-4:00PM; Fri 7:00AM-3:00PM.

Responsibilities

• Washes, dries and folds linen and towels and prepares them for use.
• Sweeps and mops tenants rooms.
• Washes sinks and toilets with brush.
• Changes linen in tenant rooms: retrieves dirty linen and makes beds with clean linens.
• Dusts and cleans surfaces.
• Sweeps, mops, and dusts office areas.
• Makes room inspections for leaks, vermin and maintenance problems and reports to supervisor.

Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four senior centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these men and women, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living.
