Job summary

Courtyard Mount Pleasant is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, corridors and public spaces to Marriott brand standards. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will help ensure a clean, welcoming environment and contribute to strong guest satisfaction scores.

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning preferred; training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete a room load efficiently.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, push cart, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly (50 occasionally).
• English proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old; weekends/holidays availability.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper keeps guest rooms, corridors and public spaces at the Courtyard Mount Pleasant clean, comfortable and ready to Marriott brand standards. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, this role is central to every guest's first impression and to the hotel's cleanliness and guest satisfaction scores. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with daytime shifts that include weekends and holidays.

Job Duties

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Guest room cleaning: Clean and service assigned checkout and stayover rooms, including beds, linens, dusting, vacuuming, trash and full bathroom sanitation.
• Restocking and room readiness: Replenish amenities to brand par levels, inspect rooms before release and update room status promptly.
• Public areas and supplies: Help clean corridors, lobby, fitness center and pool areas, and keep the housekeeping cart stocked and organized.
• Reporting: Report maintenance issues, turn in lost-and-found items and flag safety hazards or suspicious activity right away.
• Guest service and teamwork: Greet guests warmly, respect privacy requests, follow chemical and lifting safety procedures, and support other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Prior hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred; we will train the right person.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete an assigned room load efficiently each shift.
• Able to stand, walk, bend and reach for a full shift, push a loaded cart, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly (50 occasionally).
• Friendly and dependable, able to follow instructions in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• At least 18 years old, with availability for weekends and holidays.
