Job summary

Midland Health is seeking a reliable Environmental Services Worker to perform daily cleaning of patient and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic areas in accordance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities include applying cleaning protocols for daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning, maintaining restrooms in public areas and patient rooms, and supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Experience in housekeeping or environmental services is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning protocols and patient room cleaning expected.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, and clinic areas.
• Apply cleaning protocols for daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation situations.
• Maintain cleanliness in public restrooms and patient rooms, including showers.
• Support office cleaning and general environmental services tasks.

Performs daily cleaning tasks for patients and resident rooms, nursing stations, lounges,restrooms, offices, clinic areas, and any other areas assigned by the Environmental ServicesDepartment.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Has customer service knowledge skills
• Knows trash removal process
• Knows room cleaning process
• Knows on different types of cleaning such as daily, discharge, terminal and isolation
• Knows how to clean restrooms in public areas versus patient rooms including showers
• Has office cleaning experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENC

• E High school graduate or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Prior equivalent work experience in housekeeping, environmental services or related position is a plus.
