Job summary

PACS in Cottage Grove, Minnesota is seeking a dedicated housekeeping teammate to maintain clean and safe public areas, resident rooms, restrooms, and corridors throughout the day. You will sweep, mop, dust, and manage towels, trash, and supplies while following safety procedures and using caution signage.

You will also help maintain equipment and storage areas, report safety concerns to leadership, and support resident safety through attentive cleaning and proper handling of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Tend to handrails, walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers so they are clean and debris-free.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; sweep and mop floors.
• Follow safety measures, use caution signage, and keep supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents.
• Handle housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
• Supervise and assist with resident/staff/facility safety and procedures.

Empty trash cans and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors. Utilize proper safety measures when cleaning, including the use of caution signage and keeping supplies and chemicals out of reach of the residents. Use supplies and equipment in a safe manner by following the user manual instructions. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean and orderly manner. Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
