Job summary

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain a clean and safe patient care environment at our facility. You will perform general cleaning, disinfect rooms and equipment, and ensure orderly rooms ready for patient care and meetings.

The role requires adherence to infection control measures, lean stocking of supplies, and cooperation with the team to uphold healthcare cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain general upkeep and sanitation of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies using approved cleaners.
• Move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens and utensils, mop, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed and restock supplies for the department.
• Follow infection control measures and store equipment properly after use.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and facility functions as assigned.
• Perform other duties and stock room supplies as needed.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy patient care environment.

Essential Functions

• Perform specific cleaning and custodial tasks in the general upkeep, sanitation and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies, using appropriate processes and germicides for cleaning equipment.
• Perform other housekeeping duties, such as move and arrange furniture, turn mattresses, clean kitchens, cooking utensils, silverware, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Responsible for stocking of supplies as needed.
• Follow all infection control measures.

Other Functions

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Education / Experience / Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical or healthcare environment preferred.

Licenses / Designations / Certifications

• Valid state driver’s license, where required in a facility.
• CPR and de‑escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
