Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, TN is seeking a dedicated hospital housekeeping professional to maintain patient and non-patient care areas and keep them clean, safe, and attractive. The role actively participates in department quality/performance improvement activities and follows established policies and procedures.

Other duties may be assigned. The position requires appropriate housekeeping experience, with a preference for 1 year of housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required: Knowledge, skills and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Training provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects areas by completing 7 step cleaning process.
• Practices infection control guidelines by adhering to universal precautions and practices safety precautions completing work assignments.
• Maintains equipment, storage rooms and environmental closets in orderly fashion.
• Performs all floor maintenance tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
• Follows Service First principles.
• Fulfills Hospital required competencies.
• Adheres to hospital and departmental policy and procedures.
• Completes assigned goals.
