Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to high standards of cleanliness.

You will perform cleaning tasks such as making beds, replenishing supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and ensuring bathrooms are stocked and sanitary, while following safety guidelines and company policies.

Qualifications

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms and public areas to hotel standards.
• Follow safety regulations and MSDS guidelines when handling chemicals.
• Provide friendly guest service and maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Make beds.
• Replenishes supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to the disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Reports to working for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
• Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

Position Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, hallways, furnishings, flooring and work areas. Cleaning rooms includes duties such as refilling supplies, sanitizing equipment, or making beds. The role almost always includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and other general cleaning tasks.
