Responsibilities:

• Perform environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Inspect and ensure all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair; report issues to the supervisor.
• Clean all assigned areas, including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices, and equipment, following established procedures.
• Remove trash from all assigned areas.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap to ensure adequate supplies.
• Make beds following established procedures in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms.
• Maintain assigned equipment in clean, working condition; report problems and suggest improvements.
• Move equipment, furniture, wash walls, spot carpets, etc., as assigned.
• Follow all safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of annual education related to specialty accreditation (if applicable).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform cleaning tasks, operate floor equipment, and wear PPE for extended periods.
• Meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard.

Work Environment:

• Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work based on hospital operational needs.
• Deal tactfully with guests.
• Understand assigned areas, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow written work assignments.
