Job summary

SageLife in Malvern, PA is seeking a Housekeeper in the Maintenance department to keep resident apartments, bathrooms, and community areas clean and orderly. The role supports SageLife’s mission through dedicated cleaning and maintenance of living spaces for residents and staff.

The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate service, aligning with SageLife’s We Care Values and Associate Promise. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: One year of experience as a housekeeper.
• Skills: Familiar with vacuums, mops, cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Language: Must be able to speak/read/understand English at a 12th grade level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, bathrooms, common areas, and employee offices as assigned.
• Operate laundry facilities as needed.
• Assist other departments in general cleaning for resident events.
• Keep current with all state and facility required annual training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education :

High school or GED equivalent.

Experience :

One year of experience as a housekeeper.

Skills :

Familiar with use of vacuums, mops, cleaning chemicals and supplies.

Must be able to speak, read, and understand English at a 12th grade level or higher.

Licensures and Certifications:

Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and exert 50 pounds of force.

Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and stoop as needed.

Able to walk up/down 4 flights of stairs.

Standard cleaning equipment and agents.
