If you have experience in mental health treatment or other group care environments and the ability to build rapport with adolescents, this position offers you some great opportunities. You will:

This is a part-time, hourly position working Saturday and Sunday from 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM. It pays $22 to $25 per hour based on your experience. Additional compensation will be considered for the following:

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Mental health-related certifications
• 3+ years of residential mental health experience

Your Qualifications

To be a good fit for the Behavioral Technician opportunity, you will have:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of experience in the social services field (group home, childcare, medical assistant, etc.). We may also consider candidates with college coursework in psychology, social science or similar.
• A genuine desire to work with adolescents.
• An understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for mental health disorders with co-occurring substance abuse issues.
• Knowledge of regulations concerning mental health treatment.
• Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses.
• Good judgment, a positive attitude, dependability and confidentiality
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

This position requires a valid California driver’s license and the ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR) in accordance with our company standards. In addition, you must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check, live scan, physical and TB test to work at the facility.

The Role

You will provide rehabilitative support regarding the care of a co-occurring population, ensuring that clients and staff have what they need to follow the lead of the Clinical Director and Program Director. We are well organized and there is always someone to reach out to for support, should you need it. Each shift will include general daily activities (i.e., waking clients, providing hygiene baskets, monitoring from a distance, doing chores, ensuring meds are taken, etc.).
