Responsibilities
In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community interior, including residents’ apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Housekeeping Responsibilities
- Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments, including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning main entryways, common areas, dining rooms, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
- Clean and defrost refrigerators as needed, check heat system filters, change beds and linens, and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment. Turn mattresses with assistance and empty waste baskets.
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments as needed, paying attention to carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
- Launder all linens in provided laundry facilities.
- Follow sanitation and safety procedures outlined by the company.
- Server Responsibilities
- Greet residents and guests warmly, serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads from the cart.
- Review the menu, take orders, and serve meals and desserts courteously and clearly.
- Assist with storage of perishable items and deliver trays to resident rooms if needed.
- Clear and reset tables after meals following proper sanitizing procedures, and vacuum carpets as necessary.
- Complete side work such as refilling sugar and creamers, cleaning the coffeemaker, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
- Effective communication in English with employees and residents.
- Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
- Ability to retain multiple orders (up to four at a time).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
