Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and overall appearance of guest suites and public areas within the resort. This role involves cleaning, organizing, and maintaining guest suites and common areas to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for all guests. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

Room Cleaning

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms according to the resort's standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms.
• Replace linens, towels, and amenities as needed.
• Replenish guest room supplies, such as toiletries, coffee, and tea.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager.

Public Area Maintenance

• Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities.
• Ensure public areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Monitor and replenish supplies in public restrooms and other common areas.

Guest Interaction

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Provide information and assistance to guests as needed.

Inventory Management

• Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and amenities.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Adherence to Standards

• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the resort.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on cleaning techniques and safety protocols.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with other housekeeping staff and departments to ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with special projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Support and train new housekeeping staff as needed.

QualificationsQualifications:

Experience:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items (up to 25 lbs).

Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
