Cedarhurst of La Vista, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper (PRN) in our Cedarhurst of La Vista community. This is a PRN (as needed) position with temporary regular hours.
As a Housekeeper, you will have the opportunity to connect with, and positively impact the lives of, our residents daily! In this role, you will work alongside the Environmental Services Director to ensure our community spaces are maintained and kept tidy.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing thorough cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal.
- Cleaning assigned areas (resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, offices) on a scheduled basis (daily, weekly, monthly).
- Collecting and laundering soiled linens following health and hygiene policies.
- Folding, sorting, and distributing clean laundry.
- Reporting supply needs and restocking supplies as necessary.
- Coordinating with maintenance to report repairs noticed during work.
- Communicating effectively with residents' families about residents’ wellbeing.
- Working well with others, taking direction, and engaging in conflict resolution when needed.
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned to meet residents' and community needs.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Internet browsers, Microsoft Office, EHR systems, and HR systems if applicable.
