Job Description
Provides for optimum cleanliness, sanitation, order and an aesthetically pleasing hospital environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key constituents and all levels of management and employees.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic level computer proficiency and ability to use email for department communications.
- Ability to operate and/or willingness to learn the operation of housekeeping equipment; floor buffers, waxing and polishing machines, and other cleaning devices.
- Adheres to standards of safety and infection control that meet federal and state regulations.
- Good organizational skills
- Knowledge of and ability to use all housekeeping powered equipment
- Ability to demonstrate positive customer services skills
- Must be able to read, write, and follow directions and/or oral instructions in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year of previous housekeeping experience preferred.
