Description

According to established procedures, performs repetitive cleaning tasks and maintains assigned facility areas in an orderly and sanitary condition. Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around facility departments, performing various light housekeeping duties.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning assignments, prepare and transport cleaning supplies, and maintain chemical safety.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and offices, including fixtures and furniture.
• Change linens, make beds, and clean furniture as assigned, including upon resident discharge.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dispose of trash properly.
• Handle laundry duties if assigned, ensuring proper procedures.
• Inspect cleaned areas for quality and cleanliness, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain sanitation equipment and report repairs needed.
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure resident and staff safety.
• Participate in educational programs on safety, infection control, and compliance annually.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read and understand instructions; experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to respond to written and verbal instructions and interact courteously with residents and visitors.

Working Conditions

• Prolonged standing, stooping, and bending.
• Lifting up to 20 pounds, with frequent pushing and pulling.
• Use of equipment where carelessness could cause minor injuries.
