Hickory Village in Hickory, NC is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform general cleaning, assist with laundry, manage waste, and help keep supplies stocked.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in housekeeping, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly. You will collaborate with a caring team to ensure residents feel at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: general cleaning of common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms.
• Laundry: help wash, fold, and distribute resident/staff laundry.
• Waste Management: dispose of trash and recycling properly.
• Inventory Management: restock cleaning supplies and notify management of shortages or issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: follow safety protocols to maintain a clean, hygienic environment.
• Team Collaboration: work with staff to keep the facility well-maintained.
• Resident Engagement: interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
