Role Overview
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and public areas according to Hilton and A&R Group standards. This position ensures a clean, safe, and inviting environment that enhances the guest experience and supports the hotel’s reputation for quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve supplies from storerooms and maintain a clean, organized housekeeping cart
- Clean windows, doors, walls, fixtures, and public areas, including hard‑to‑reach spaces
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, and mirrors
- Replace towels, amenities, and guestroom supplies; restock literature and stationery
- Wash hard floor surfaces by hand to remove dirt and stains
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, vents, and ceiling corners
- Strip and remake beds with fresh linens; inspect bedding and mattresses for cleanliness
- Clean and restock closets with hangers, blankets, and pillows
- Vacuum guest rooms, hallways, and public areas; move furniture as needed
- Inspect locks, equipment, and room features; report maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain custody of keys, equipment, and supplies at all times
- Report missing items, damage, or safety hazards to the Supervisor
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor
- Follow all Hilton brand standards, A&R policies, and safety procedures
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador for A&R Group’s culture, mission, and values
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic English comprehension for labels, instructions, and guest interactions
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and move throughout the hotel for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform repetitive arm and hand movements
- Professional, ethical, and reliable
- Excellent customer‑service skills
- Quick learner with a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions
