Atria Senior Living - Darien is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean living spaces across resident apartments and common areas. You will perform cleaning, laundry, trash removal, and sanitation tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.

Required are basic reading, writing, and math skills, ability to follow training, and reliable English communication. We offer comprehensive benefits including paid holidays, PTO, health/dental/vision and retirement

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete all Company specified training programs.
• Able to operate cleaning equipment such as irons, washers/dryers, brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.
• Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.

Responsabilités

• Clean public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios and windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including: distributing laundered articles and linens; changing beds; cleaning restrooms; replenishing supplies; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; dusting; polishing metalwork; washing walls and windows.
• Perform all laundry duties: washing/drying, folding, distributing linens, changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors and checking lint traps.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly; disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies; stock cleaning cart; empty wastebaskets; transport trash to disposal areas.
• Request maintenance work orders for needed repairs; report resident issues promptly; escalate unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Responsibilities

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents and staff by performing cleaning duties assigned to apartments, interior and exterior common areas and amenities.

• Clean public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, floors, furniture, and common areas.
• Perform all housekeeping duties including:
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing beds
  • Cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • Dusting furniture and equipment
  • Polishing metalwork
  • Washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
• Performs all laundry duties, including:
  • Washing and drying resident laundry and textiles in provided appliances
  • Folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately
  • Distributing laundered articles and linens
  • Changing bed linens.
• Maintain resident laundry areas, including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps regularly.
• Wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
• Keep utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies.
• Stock the cleaning cart with supplies.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area(s).
• Work with maintenance to ensure that the trash and dumpster areas are clean.
• Request maintenance work orders for any maintenance repairs needed.
• Report resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly.
• Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance-related issues promptly to Supervisor.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $16.94/hr - $20.33/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
