We are part of a nationwide family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities seeking a Housekeeper. The purpose of this position is to provide campus services in cleaning and minor maintenance to meet the needs of residents and employees, ensuring facilities are in good condition.
In This Role, The Housekeeper Will:
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following schedules and standards, including infection control guidelines.
- Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, plunging toilets, and changing batteries.
- Perform cleaning tasks inside and outside in accordance with department standards.
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing.
- Assist in cleaning emergency spills and perform project cleaning (walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, etc.).
- Remove trash and recyclables, replace liners, and transport waste to disposal areas.
- Deep clean rooms/units during transfers/discharges as needed.
- Move furniture and assist with resident moves during transfers/discharges.
- Participate in campus linen and bed-making programs.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs.
- Report facility, furniture, or fixture repairs needed.
- Participate in receiving supplies and campus snow/ice removal.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Some high school education.
- Experience in housekeeping and/or general maintenance.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Dependability, organization skills, ability to follow instructions, and work with limited supervision.
- Interest in working with older adults.
- Availability on weekends may be required.
Compensation Pay Range:
$12.48 - $14.55 per hour.
