Job summary

Harpers Station Gainesville Memory Care in Gainesville, FL is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents, families, and staff. You will follow a cleaning schedule, assist with laundry as needed, and help ensure a dignified, caring atmosphere on a daily basis.

The role requires 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM shifts, a high school diploma or GED, good communication, empathy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of common areas.
• Deep cleaning of resident rooms on schedule.
• Clean bathrooms, offices, and carpets; maintain sanitary conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and dignified atmosphere for residents.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and attend trainings.

Now Hiring Housekeeper!Job Type: Full-Time Position Available; 8:00AM - 4:30PM Shift AvailableSummary: Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating others (residents, families, and associates) in the same way we would like to be treated, and under direct supervision providing a variety of housekeeping and/or laundry duties while maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Follows established cleaning schedule.*Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.*Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.*Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.*Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.*Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.*Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.*Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.*Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.*Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.*Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.*Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.*Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.*Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.*Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.*Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather.
