Job summary

SRIM in Palm Coast, FL is seeking a dedicated housekeeping member to assist with daily cleaning, laundry, and maintenance of a safe, sanitary environment for residents. Under supervision, you will promote the Golden Rule and provide compassionate support.

You will follow cleaning schedules, assist with resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, and communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

Overview

Responsible for demonstrating and promoting SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule and, under direct supervision, providing housekeeping and laundry duties while maintaining the community in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follows established cleaning schedule.*
• Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.*
• Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.*
• Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.*
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.*
• Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.*
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.*
• Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
• Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.*
• Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.*
• Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.*
• Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.*
• Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.*
• Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*
• Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.*
• Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.*
• Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.*

• Provides "hands‑on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community.*
• Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.*
• Serves and assists residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.*
• Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.*
• Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.*
