Job summary

Valley Health Care Inc. in West Virginia is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, orderly health center and office spaces. You will follow the posted cleaning schedule, perform dusting, mopping, disinfection, waste disposal, and restocking supplies to support a safe patient environment.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work with basic cleaning chemicals, with attention to HIPAA awareness, teamwork, and clear communication with staff.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Keeps health center and office areas clean and orderly by performing housekeeping duties.
• Cleans floors, walls, surfaces, furniture, and fixtures and disinfects as required.
• Replaces light bulbs and replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Follows cleaning schedule posted in the housekeeping folder and maintains inventory of supplies.

JOB SUMMARYThe Housekeeper keeps the health center and business office in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. The Housekeeper reports to the Director of Operations or as directed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.Arranges boxes, material, furniture and/or other equipment in neat and orderly manner.Cleans lint, dust, oil, and grease from floors, walls, and furniture.Cleans screens and filters.Scrubs sinks and counter topsCleans floors.Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and other work areas.Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.Dusts furniture and equipment.Follow cleaning schedule posted in the housekeeping folder.Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.Washes windows, door panels, and sills.Empties wastebaskets.Transports trash and waste to disposal area.Replenishes bathroom supplies.Replaces light bulbs.Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
