Job summary

EASTWENATCHEE is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, resident rooms, and ensuring a safe environment.

Job description

Job Description: This housekeeping role maintains all public and common areas within a long‑term care facility.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain all public and common areas throughout the day, including the lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
  • Ensure handrails are clean and free of debris.
  • Clean and remove dust, dirt or food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars and towel dispensers.
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Use caution signage and keep supplies and chemicals out of reach of residents.
  • Employ supplies and equipment safely by following user‑manual instructions.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a safe, sanitary, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing immediately regarding resident safety issues or concerns.
  • Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
  • Exhibit excellent customer skills and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate excellent time‑management skills.
  • Work independently or with a team.
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Physical Demands
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Regularly required to sit, kneel, stand, walk, talk, read or hear.
  • Use of office equipment such as copier, scanner, fax, telephone, and calculator.
Work Environment
  • Smell and noise level usually low to moderate.

Pay

Pay: $17.13–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and education.

Additional compensation such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities may be available.
