Job summary

Golden Route Operations, LLC is hiring a dependable housekeeper to maintain clean, sanitary, and orderly environments for patients, staff, and visitors. You will perform general cleaning, stock supplies, and operate cleaning equipment to keep facilities in excellent condition.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, ability to read and communicate in English, and stamina to lift up to 25 pounds. Base pay is $16 per hour, non-exempt, with full-time hours and on-site work in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks throughout assigned property.
• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas.
• Wipes and dusts surfaces and cleans mirrors.
• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and curtains.
• Stocks towels, toilet tissue, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Be on time for all shifts.
• Operates mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums and buffers.
• Maintain facility in sanitary and infection-free condition.
• Disposal of trash and waste; comply with OSHA/EPA rules.
• Damp dust furniture, windowsills; empty trash daily.
• Wet mop floors and mop corridors, lobby, dining areas daily.
• Check vacant rooms daily to keep fresh and report repairs.

Job Summary:

This position must provide clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the patients, employees, and the public. The housekeeper promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of infection and odors.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs general cleaning and sanitizing tasks and services throughout assigned property.
• Uses cleaning cart to transport cleaning supplies.
• Cleans and disinfects kitchen and dining areas.
• Wipes and dusts surfaces in rooms, cubicles and cleans mirrors.
• Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, furniture, and curtains.
• Stocks towels, toilet tissue, and hand towels in bathrooms.
• Be on time for all shifts.
• Must be able to work productively with other department Supervisors and personnel.
• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, polishers, buffers, etc.
• Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
• Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials.
• Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc. Must comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, State Health Department, etc.
• Damp dust furniture, light fixtures, window sills, etc.
• Empty trash containers daily.
• Wet mop floors in all bathrooms daily. Damp mop all corridor floors, lobby, dining areas, and others daily.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, and showers daily.
• Check all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh.
• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)
• Wash windows as scheduled.
• Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of staff and guests.
• Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
• Must have good prioritization skills and be able to multi-task while maintaining a therapeutic environment.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• Must obtain and maintain valid Driver’s License and auto insurance .

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.

SUPERVISED BY:

• The Facility Manager will provide primary supervision.
