Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a housekeeping teammate at the Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, Ohio. The role involves routine cleaning and care of the facility, with priorities on guest comfort and safety.

You will perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, and assist with event setup and teardown while maintaining a courteous guest experience and adherence to the company’s standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Significant related cleaning/janitorial experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine housekeeping tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, washing and waxing.
• Empty trash and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Make minor repairs such as painting or replacing light fixtures when applicable.
• Assist with event setup, tear-down and cleanup.
• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, courteous manner and provide customer service.

THE ROLE

Under general supervision, performs routine housekeeping work while cleaning and caring for the facility building.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and janitorial tasks as required or assigned. These include, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, washing and waxing.

• Empty trash and wastebaskets. Transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas.

• Make minor repairs such as painting, patching and replacing light fixtures and filters, when applicable.

• Assist with event set-up, tear-down and clean-up.

• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.

• Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner. This will include initiating contact with guests within 10 feet - i.e., smiling, saying "Good Day" or helping when needed.

• Must feel comfortable when around large groups or speaking to a guest, as needed

• Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of "The Magic is in the Details"

QUALIFICATIONS:

• To be competitive applicants should have high school diploma or equivalent and significant related experience.
• Prior experience in cleaning and janitorial duties.
• Able to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.

• Perform routine and repetitive housekeeping tasks without immediate supervision.

• Use machine, supplies and equipment used to clean the facility.

• Perform heavy lifting at times.
